Butler wins, Duke dosn’t get the chance to repeat, Pitts not in, Florida beats Jimmer, Kemba beat SDSU

With the wacky tournament we have had up to this point, Louisville losing second round, Pitt getting beat, Richmond upsetting Vandy, we could expect it to continue into the Sweet 16, and it did. Duke loses to Arizona, Wisconsin loses to Butler, BYU lost in overtime to Florida, UConn upset SDSU, craziness, 3 of 4 games played so far in the Sweet 16 have been upsets.

Now only 2 #1 seeds remain, Kansas and Ohio St. and both have the opportunity to lose tonight. Kansas has by far the easiest road to the Final Four, only having to beat double-digit seeds. Ohio St., the #1 overall seed, looks to be dominant against a freshmen dominated Kentucky team.

This NCAA Tournament is shaping up to be one of the weirdest in recent memory, thanks to those upsets, that have left the nation without a perfect bracket, except the one that is filled out as the games are completed. Thank you basketball Gods for giving us entertainment that exceeded anyones thoughts.

It’s ok Dukies; they just lost to history. Arizona has a habit of making deep tourney runs when no one expects them to. Then they usually don’t perform up to expectations in the seasons when they are expected to go deep in the tourney. This team’s run reminds me of the ’97 team that caught everyone by surprise. I feel bad for UConn; I think they have no answer for Arizona’s talent.
