I admit I was wrong, fairly wrong, well really wrong. I said that the Heat were going to win the NBA Championship, I was wrong. By the way, sorry this is late. Heat failed to compete at multiple levels against the experienced Mavs, aka Dirk.

Lebron kinda choked, a lot. He had an 8 point game, 8 POINTS IN A WHOLE GAME, and the Heat are paying maximum money for that, I’m not saying that they should get rid of him. He is still the best player in the league in my eyes, he played badly though and that isn’t acceptable.

The Mavs came ready to play. They played to their full potential behind their fantastic German, Dirk Nowitzki who anchored the team from the power forward spot. The Mav’s other key players, Jason Terry and Jason Kidd game to the big series ready to rip.

The series had the potential to go either way, but the Heat failed in the clutch moments early in the series, which lead to a massive amount of momentum that pushed the Dallas Mavs to the victory and the championship.

Slam! That’s the sound of the door shutting on the Mav’s chances to win a NBA Title. The Miami Heat beat the Dallas Mavs 88-86 in Game 3 to take a 2-1 advantage. I recently wrote a post about the Heat’s woes in the 4th quarter, but in this game they were able to overcome them and win a close one.

Dwyane Wade took over the 4th quarter, matching Mav’s star Dirk Nowitzki who had 15 4th quarter points and the Mav’s last twelve. Wade had the response for all the shots Dirk made, finishing with 8 in the 4th and 29 in the game. Every time Dallas scored to tie or make the game close, the Heat responded by hitting 3’s, contributed by Mario Chalmers, Wade, and Lebron James. Chris Bosh hit the clutch game winning jumper with about 4o seconds left, and Dirk was unable to tie the game at the buzzer when he missed a jumper at the free throw line.

The Heat finished the game, they made their shots, and they played tough defense forcing Nowitzki into turnovers and difficult shots. James has struggled down the stretch, but when one of the “Big 3” struggles the other two step up big, which they did, Bosh and Wade were both clutch.

The Heat haven’t been as good on the road as they have been at home, but I still expect them to close out the series in Dallas and win in 5 games. They are a good team, and they have the initiative now, when they are healthy and have the bench contributing they are unbeatable in a series.

A question that I brought up last time, when Lebron James wins a championship, how will you feel about him?

The LA Lakers were swept by Dallas Mavericks ending their chance at a repeat of the NBA Title. They lost Game 4 by 36 points, blown out hard, and two LA Players were ejected. Lamar Odom, was ejected for shoving Dirk Nowitzki in the face and chest, and Andrew Bynum cheap shotted JJ Barea, a 6ft tall guard, by laying him out with his elbow as Barea was 4ft in the air. Bynum walked off the court, not before he took off his jersey, there is a fine expected to come down from the NBA. Here is the video, its a cheap cheap shot.

Thanks again Mr. Bynum for so beautifully ending the Laker Era.
